Maria Baños

Maria Baños is a multidimensional creative and visual artist from the Basque Country based in Barcelona. Her creative practice dives into all-things-visual dissolving boundaries between disciplines, lately focused in the art and design scene. A creative director, an art director and photographer whose vision becomes a catalyst in the world driven by her anthropological curiosity. Founder of the curatorial platform Art Studies and her own studio-apartment Open Department, Maria approaches each project as a living, breathing ecosystem showcasing the cultural pulse of the now. Over seven years, Maria co-directed Muses of Now, a platform merging art, gastronomy, and experiences, producing events across Barcelona, Paris, Mallorca, and Berlin.
